We are seeking a Distinguished Engineer to define and drive the long-term architectural vision for our cloud-delivered Security Service Edge (SSE) platform, while ensuring strategic alignment with our next-generation physical firewall portfolio.
This role will primarily focus on evolving a globally distributed, multi-tenant cloud security platform — guiding its scalability, resilience, extensibility, and innovation trajectory. In parallel, the Distinguished Engineer will ensure that our physical firewall products integrate seamlessly into a unified security ecosystem through shared policy, telemetry, and management frameworks.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role requiring exceptional depth in cloud-native distributed systems, security architectures, and high-performance networking.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive a cohesive long-term architecture strategy spanning cloud-native SSE and physical firewall appliances
- Oversee and mentor Principal Engineers and Architects across product lines.
- Guide high-performance packet processing architectures (L3–L7)
- Guide architecture for building and scaling cloud native security services
- Evaluate emerging technologies and drive incubation of next-generation capabilities.
- Represent the company in strategic customer or partner technical engagements when needed.
Required Skills & Experience
- 18+ years of engineering experience in cybersecurity, networking, cloud platforms
- Proven experience shaping large-scale, multi-tenant SaaS architectures.
- Experience with high-performance packet processing and traffic inspection.
- Strong systems thinking across hardware, firmware, and cloud software layers.
- Experience mentoring senior technical leaders and architects.
- Experience building scalable telemetry, logging, and analytics pipelines
- Strong experience with Kubernetes, containers, service meshes, and hyperscaler environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Recognized technical authority capable of influencing senior engineers and executives.
