We seek an experienced, detail-oriented Senior Manager of Global Payroll to join the SonicWall team.

As a Senior Manager of Global Payroll, you will oversee all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely payments of employees at SonicWall. You will also collaborate with various departments to gather and validate payroll information, resolve payroll discrepancies and provide exceptional service to our employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for all SonicWall employees and EOR professionals in 43 countries.
  • Manager global payroll team setting goals and monitoring performance.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable laws, regulations and company policies relating to payroll.
  • Administer and maintain payroll systems, ensure data integrity and implement system upgrades and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance and other departments to gather and validate payroll information, such as new hires, terminations, promotions, salary changes and 401(k) true-up calculations.
  • Provide accurate General Ledgers and annual leave liability to the Finance team.
  • Take an active role in both internal and external audits.
  • Monitor and resolve payroll discrepancies, investigating and resolving issues promptly and accurately.
  • Generate and create payroll reports, including tax filings, benefits deductions and other reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Address employee inquiries and concerns related to payroll, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Maintain confidentiality and data security standards for all payroll-related information.
  • Stay updated on payroll regulations, tax laws and industry trends, implementing necessary changes to ensure compliance and best practices.
  • Be responsible for global statutory tax requirements.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in payroll management.
  • In-depth knowledge of global payroll processes, labor laws, taxation and statutory compliance.
  • Knowledge of global benefits and pensions.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills, as well as a deep understanding of payroll processes and international payroll practices.
  • Experience in handling payroll audits and compliance assessments.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and systems, such as ADP, with experience implementing and managing payroll systems.
  • Excellent understanding of financial principles and the ability to reconcile payroll with financial records.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing complex payroll calculation data.
  • Good organizational and time management skills to meet strict payroll deadlines and manage multiple priorities in high-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

Compensation varies based on location and work being performed. The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $101,563 – $156,250 for annual base salary. Employees may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses and commissions. The successful candidate’s actual pay will also be based on qualifications and experience, so the actual starting pay may be above or below this range.
