SonicWall is looking for a Field and Partner Marketing Manager, Japan owning the planning, development and execution of all field marketing activities, both direct and indirect via resellers and distributors in the Japan market. The role reports to the Director, Field and Partner Marketing, APJ. This individual will work closely with the Japan sales leadership, as well as the global and APJ regional marketing team to develop a marketing plan supporting Japan and pan-APJ’s business goals and targets.
Using all tactics of the marketing mix, including but not limited to digital campaigns, social media, webcasts and events, the role will own the strategic planning as well as tactical execution and analysis of marketing programs. The position requires a blend of strong marketing execution and communication capabilities along with an ability to build and manage relationships with both internal and external (partner) marketing, sales and executive teams.
As a small but highly interactive and engaged team we look for an energetic, upstart marketing professional, that can work autonomously but loves to interact with others, doesn’t hesitate to build relationships across countries, continents and cultures and brings a strong team spirit.
This role is based in Tokyo, Japan and offers a hybrid working arrangement.
Responsibilities include:
- Owning the planning, developing, and implementing of marketing programs in the Japan market to drive lead generation and partner recruitment - implemented directly by SonicWall and indirectly by through-partner activities.
- Monitoring the plan and budget, including the execution of MDF-financed activities for the Japan market
- Managing the localization and translation of all relevant marketing campaigns and assets for the Japan market
- Managing SonicWall’s presence at field events for the Japan market
- Leading partner communications and enablement for the Japan market
- Owning marketing trainings for partners and sales team for the Japan market
- Developing new customer case studies and video testimonials for the Japan market
- Providing support for pan - APJ marketing programs on a project-basis when necessary.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in B2B marketing, experience in channel environments and IT security industry is advantageous.
- Demonstrates autonomous and structured way of working.
- Actively collaborates with the various functions and stakeholders across the organization.
- Drives collaboration with external partners and internal teams to ensure flawless execution
- Possesses excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Displays a results-driven and problem-solving mindset.
- Experience with Salesforce.com and Jira are of advantage
- Maintains an open mindset and has experience in a cross-cultural matrix organization.
- Fluent in written and oral English is a must.
