We are seeking an Human Resources Generalist to focus on compliance initiatives while supporting broader HR operations. This hybrid role is responsible for managing compliance training, auditing systems for data integrity, ensuring global regulatory alignment, maintaining our Learning Management System (LMS), and contributing to cross-functional HR projects. Based in Washington, DC, this position reports directly to the Global Head of HR Operations & Programs and will serve as a critical connector between HR, Compliance, and the business to ensure our workforce is compliant, engaged, and equipped with the right knowledge to succeed.

What You’ll Do As A HR Generalist:

Employee Life Cycle Management

  • Maintain all HR administrative processes and records from an employee's hire date through separation.
  • Advise employees and managers on employee relations, career pathing, and policy interpretation across the life cycle.
  • Drive initiatives focused on improving employee engagement and retention.

Training Administration & Development

  • Manage all aspects of training programs, including scheduling, tracking, and reporting.
  • Design and implement new compliance training programs in partnership with Compliance and HR teams.
  • Curate and recommend external training resources to address organizational needs.

Compliance & Regulatory Alignment

  • Research training requirements across countries and states to maintain compliance.
  • Ensure training programs remain current with federal, state, and global regulations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and training records for audits and compliance inquiries.

Learning Management System (LMS) Administration

  • Administer and maintain the LMS, including course uploads, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Generate reports and analytics to measure training effectiveness and compliance completion.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve the employee learning experience.

HR Operations & Policy Alignment

  • Support the rollout of HR policies by developing awareness materials and required training.
  • Contribute to onboarding processes by ensuring new hires complete all mandatory compliance training.
  • Partner with HRBPs to identify employee training needs tied to organizational effectiveness.

Continuous Improvement & Special Projects

  • Collect feedback from employees and managers to enhance processes, policies and accessibility.
  • Participate in HR operations projects and global initiatives to strengthen compliance and people programs.
  • Recommend new tools, practices, and approaches to improve efficiency and employee engagement.

Must Have Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience in HR operations, training, or compliance-related roles.
  • Experience administering and managing an LMS platform.
  • Experience with MS365, MS Office, and SharePoint.
  • Strong knowledge of compliance training topics (e.g., data privacy, workplace safety, anti-harassment, insider trading, and anti-bribery).[KT4]
  • Ability to research and interpret global and regional training requirements.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work across functions and geographies.

Spire operates a hybrid work model, and this position will require you to work a minimum of three days per week in the office.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. Final base salary for this role will be based on the location, skills, experience and qualifications. In addition to base compensation, this role may be eligible for annual equity awards and our employee benefits program, including vacation, sick, and personal time off; optional medical, dental, vision, life, and disability coverage; a 401(K) plan; health and wellness reimbursement program; and participation in Spire’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

$90,000$130,500 USD
