Overview
The Services Quality Engineer will be responsible for the Quality Assurance of all Professional Services items. These items include reporting, integration, and data conversion client projects. A Services Quality Engineer is responsible for identifying opportunities to optimize the QA process, provide feedback to the Services Software Engineers on coding, and recommending best practices to the Professional Services organization. A Services Quality Engineer will primarily work with internal teams but may be required to communicate and/or travel to client sites as needed.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Design and implement testing plans for Professional Services Data and Reporting Projects
- Identify procedures and scenarios for the quality control of services project work
- Communicate quantitative and qualitative findings from test results to the Services development team, services business analyst team, and services project management team
- Ensure that the final services task satisfies the requirements and meets end-user expectations
- Spot areas for improvement to enhance the product's efficiency
- Analyze bugs and errors found during tests
- Document results of tests for the Services development team
- Works together with the software developer to enhance and improve processes

- Proven ability to write and optimize SQL queries

Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related technical field; or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience with SQL scripting in an industry setting
- 3-5 years of experience in database quality assurance (QA)
- Strong understanding of mapping and specification documents
- Practical knowledge of SQL database concepts and applications
