Overview
To design, develop, and maintain efficient applications using the InterSystems Cache database, ensuring optimal performance, seamless data management, and integration, while continuously optimizing queries, ensuring data consistency, and supporting the system’s scalability and reliability.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Application Development & Maintenance:
Develop, implement, and maintain applications using InterSystems Cache, focusing on writing efficient ObjectScript code and integrating with existing systems. - Performance Tuning & Query Optimization:
Optimize SQL queries and ObjectScript code to improve database performance, reduce latency, and ensure efficient data retrieval. - Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution:
Identify and resolve issues in production environments, including database performance, application bugs, and data inconsistencies. - Data Consistency & Cache Management:
Ensure data consistency across the Cache database and external systems by implementing caching strategies, handling cache invalidation, and ensuring synchronization. - Collaboration & Support:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, testers, system administrators) to implement and support solutions, while assisting junior developers with technical challenges.
Skills Required
- InterSystems Cache Object Script/Cache Objects.
- Experience in Cache SQL
- Prior experience developing software for the regulatory environment in healthcare is strongly desired
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 6+ years of experience in Intersystem’s Cache Development using ObjectScript / Cache Objects
