Overview

The Senior Sales Director is responsible for leading and developing a team of sales professionals to drive revenue growth, retain and expand existing customer accounts, and support key strategic business and account initiatives. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders to ensure scalable growth, strong customer relationships, and consistent execution against revenue objectives.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide strong leadership, coaching, and ongoing development for sales team members to support performance and career growth
  • Proactively engage in and support key strategic initiatives, partnerships, and cross‑functional projects
  • Deliver ongoing training and professional development opportunities to strengthen skills and drive continuous improvement
  • Develop and deliver accurate monthly revenue forecasts and ad hoc projections as requested
  • Recruit, hire, and retain top sales talent while fostering a healthy, high‑performance team culture focused on accountability and improvement
  • Manage and oversee the sales team budget to ensure effective use of resources and alignment with business goals
  • Proactively develop, execute, and maintain sales plans that clearly outline strategies for achieving targets on an ongoing basis
  • Effectively manage a healthy pipeline across all stages, including new business acquisition, upsell opportunities, cross‑sell opportunities, and strategic partnerships
  • Collaborate across internal teams and the customer base to identify and deliver consensus‑based solutions, partnering with product, sales operations, marketing, and other stakeholders

Skills Required

  • Demonstrated ability to foster a positive, collaborative team environment while modeling strong leadership and partnership behaviors
  • Proven track record of success in healthcare sales, including achievement of revenue and growth objectives
  • Strong proficiency with computer applications, CRM platforms, computer-based sales tools, and SaaS business systems
  • Ability to effectively influence, guide, and build trust with prospective customers throughout the sales cycle
  • Skilled in navigating complex organizational structures and political environments to drive alignment and results
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership and external partners
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and follow-through skills

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum 10 years proven and relevant sales leadership experience selling products in the healthcare market
  • Healthcare services or SaaS technology sales experience required
  • Willingness and ability to travel required
