Overview
The Salesforce Solution Architect will be the technical owner and primary hands on developer for our mission critical Professional Services Automation (PSA) solution built on Salesforce and Certinia (FinancialForce). This role will own both architecture and hands on delivery, leading key design decisions while still writing the critical pieces of code and integration logic. The ideal candidate combines deep solution architecture expertise with advanced full stack Apex/LWC development skills, and has a strong track record building scalable solutions for high growth SaaS organizations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end technical design and architecture of scalable Certinia PSA and Professional Services solutions on Salesforce, including data models, processes, and integration patterns with external systems (e.g., CPQ, ERP, Billing, Data Warehouse).
- Deliver complex, custom solutions using ), Aura, and Flows to extend Certinia's functionality and build advanced automation.
- Serve as the lead architect and technical lead for PS Cloud initiatives, guiding solution design, defining technical standards, and partnering with business stakeholders to translate strategic goals into scalable technical solutions.
- Partner closely with Professional Services and Business Operations leaders to translate strategic business goals into scalable technical solutions.
- Maintain deep expertise in Salesforce and Certinia data models, architecture, security, and governor limits, designing for performance and scale in high-volume scenarios.
- Responsible for implementing solutions that support business requirements and drive key decisions that improve processes and productivity.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system designs, data models, and specifications.
- Leverage experience in high-growth SaaS environments to continuously identify opportunities for architectural simplification, data quality improvement, and enhanced reporting/analytics, staying current with platform innovations.
- Coach and mentor junior technical team members
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ of experience as a Salesforce administrator
- 4+ years of hands on Certinia (FinancialForce) experience, focused on PSA
- Certinia PSA Implementation Consultant or Certinia PSA System Admin certification required
- Expert level custom Salesforce development skills (Apex, LWC, Aura, Visualforce) plus strong Flow and declarative expertise.
- Proven track record as a technical lead or lead architect on complex, multi phase Salesforce/Certinia implementations.
- Deep familiarity with PSA concepts (project financials, utilization, revenue, time & expense) in a SaaS or services context.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Salesforce Platform Developer II certification required; Certified System Architect, or Certified Application Architect certifications strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills with a focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Excellent communication skills; able to explain technical designs and trade offs to both technical and business stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments
