Summary
Terran Orbital is seeking an experienced Production Planner to join our growing team. Reporting to the Planning Manager, the Production Planner will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and management of printed circuit board assemblies and EEE components to ensure timely and efficient production processes. This role involves working closely with engineering, procurement, inventory, and production teams to maintain optimal inventory levels, forecast demand, and mitigate supply chain risks.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for PCBA and EEE components based on historical data, market trends, and production schedules.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to understand project requirements and timelines.
- Monitor inventory levels of PCBA and EEE components to ensure availability while minimizing excess stock.
- Implement inventory control strategies, including safety stock levels and reorder points.
- Coordinate with production teams to align component availability with production schedules.
- Ensure that all necessary components are available for scheduled production runs.
- Generate purchase orders based on demand forecasts and production schedules.
- Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop Metrics and KPIs to report inventory levels and production status.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Analyze spending data/trends to identify and develop overall strategic sourcing initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, management, or a related discipline (years of experience may be a substitute for degree).
- 5+ years of experience in a component planning, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in the electronics or manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of PCBA and EEE components, including their specifications and sourcing requirements.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Proficiency in using ERP/MRP systems and inventory management software.
- Experience with the counterfeit parts purchase policy.
- Be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and prioritize duties to meet deadlines daily with limited supervision.
- Ability to interact with C-level executives and make presentations to that level.
- Technical background related to hardware development & electronic components.
- Advanced analytical interpretation and problem-solving skills.
- Develop, maintain, and communicate project schedule issues & mitigations.
- Strong analytical framework; effective in working with large data sets.
- You must have strong and practical influencing skills and be capable of gaining consensus.
- You should be able to navigate across the organization effectively and efficiently.
- U.S. Person or lawful permanent resident to comply with U.S. government space technology export regulations.

Physical Demands
