Summary
Terran Orbital is seeking an experienced Product Technical Documentation Specialists to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Mission Assurance & Quality the Product Technical Documentation Specialist will work within a multidisciplinary team to compile and deliver satellite vehicle product End Item Data Packages (EIDPs) to program managers and external customers. End Item Data Packages (EIDPs) are the collection of digital documents to reflect the product’s history associated with the design, manufacture, inspection, assembly, testing, non-conformances, procedures and other activities performed on the product to demonstrate conformance to contractual requirements. This collection contains all information necessary to verify and certify the final as-built configuration of the product.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Compile, produce and deliver required elements of End Item Data Packages (EIDPs) for delivered satellite vehicles.
- Work closely with Design, Planning, System and Quality Engineers, Manufacturing/Production, Assembly, Integration & Test (AI&T), Configuration Management, and Program Managers, and other SMEs to ensure final product data packages accurately reflect as-built delivered configurations.
- Collect and validate digital documents, information, photos, and reports from multiple sources and compile into a single indexed documentation package.
- Manage, organize and track status of data package elements for completeness, consistency, and accuracy.
- Develop a strong understanding of the technical details of the satellite products and product lifecycle.
- Focused, detail oriented, and comfortable working with large amounts of information in multiple spreadsheets, systems, and databases.
- Maintain and maintain configuration and revision control of multiple simultaneous work products.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills; ability to multitask with a sense of urgency for time-sensitive deliverables.
- Acute attention to detail, working well under pressure and meeting simultaneous revolving deadlines.
- Proactive planning, detailed status tracking, timeliness, accuracy, attention to detail and completeness are keys to success.
- Work is generally independent while also collaborative in nature.
- Technical writing, review and release of general documents and procedures pertaining to quality and mission assurance.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Associates degree or equivalent relevant experience in information management, technical writing, technical publication, configuration management, or similar field.
- 5+ yrs relevant professional experience
- Experience producing end-product documentation in a technical industry.
- Excellent MS Excel, Word, SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat skills; familiar with MES/ERP/MRP/PLM systems.
- Meticulous attention to detail, organizing and time management skills to manage multiple projects and deliverables with revolving deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication - able to speak, listen and write in both technical and non-technical terms across organizational boundaries and at all levels
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic; ability to work in a high-energy, fast paced environment and easily adapt to change; willing to contribute where needed to get the job done.
- Demonstrated success working effectively independently and in collaborative team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- U.S. Person or lawful permanent resident to comply with U.S. government space technology export regulations.
Additional Differentiators
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in information management, technical writing, technical publication, configuration management or similar field.
- Background in engineering, production, quality assurance or related technical discipline.
- Experience producing End Item Data Packages (EIDPs) for aerospace products.
- Experience with Aegis, Windchill, D365, and/or Jira.
- Data/information management in defense, aerospace, and/or space industry.
- Experience in an engineering and production environment with understanding of engineering drawing management, configuration management, production as-built configurations, and non-conformance reporting.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, test reports, customer specifications requirements and non-conformance reports.
- Experience with ISO9001, AS9100 or other Quality Management Systems.

Physical Demands
An employee must meet the physical demands described to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.
