Terran Orbital is seeking an experienced Associate Electro-Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Associate Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead - GNC the Associate Electro-Mechanical Engineer will work within a multidisciplinary team to develop and support the design, prototype, qualification and sustainment of innovative Guidance, Navigation, Control and Propulsion components and modules for various spacecraft.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, development, optimization and implementation of various electrical and mechanical components, systems and sub-system modules for some of the world’s leading edge GNC space modules and Ion Propulsion systems.
  • Utilize the full spectrum of the design, analysis, test, and manufacturing tools to create efficient components and sub-system assemblies.
  • Use established analytical analysis methods and industry standard practices to ensure designs will meet or exceed internal and customer requirements.
  • Participate in debugging, testing, and verification activities for components and modules.
  • Work closely with internal and external customers to support development and ongoing production.
  • Contribute to Process Development and Continuous Improvement activities.

Qualifications and Skills

  • B.S. degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
  • 0-2 years of experience and a working knowledge with Electrical Circuit Design, PCB Layout design and best engineering practices.
  • 0-2 years of experience and a working knowledge of mechanical design and analysis, basic manufacturing processes, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
  • Experience with assembly, testing and debugging of PCBs or mechanical systems in a professional, academic, or recreational environment.
  • Understanding of electrical engineering principles and practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Able to effectively work on multiple tasks running in parallel.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance.

Additional Differentiators

  • Proficient working with EPDM or other PDM software.
  • Proficient in the use of shop tools, assembly techniques, inspection methods and equipment.
  • Experience with Altium or similar electrical design software.

Your actual level and base salary will be determined case-by-case and may vary based on the job-related qualification, knowledge, skills, education, and experience. Physical Demands

An employee must meet the physical demands described to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.
