Terran Orbital is seeking an experienced Program Planner to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Master Program Planner Manager, the Program Planner will be responsible for developing, integrating, and maintaining comprehensive project schedules across our satellite and technology programs. This role requires close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, managers, and key stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution, monitor progress, and deliver insightful performance evaluation reports.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project managers, technical experts, and third-party program management teams to integrate parallel program-dependent initiatives, establish assignments, tasks, and subtasks, and identify critical path elements with actionable solutions.
- Develop, implement, and maintain a robust scheduling management system to ensure efficient project execution.
- Coordinate project timelines and deliverables with internal departments and external stakeholders to align objectives and expectations.
- Monitor project schedules, timelines, and deadlines to ensure adherence to established milestones.
- Proactively identify potential schedule delays and facilitate timely interventions to mitigate risks.
- Evaluate project performance and prepare detailed progress reports for stakeholders.
- Develop and analyze metrics and performance calculations using project schedule data and inputs.
- Accommodate updates and revisions to project schedules, ensuring alignment with evolving project requirements.
- Organize and lead regular meetings with stakeholders to gather schedule inputs, monitor progress, and address development barriers.
- Recommend corrective actions to maintain project timelines, budgets, and overall objectives.
- Establish and document schedule management processes and guidelines, including MS Project change control and update protocols, for internal team members.
- Communicate project timelines, milestones, and deadlines effectively to all stakeholders.
- Maintain comprehensive records of project scheduling processes and documentation for future reference and compliance.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a project/program planner or scheduler.
- Strong familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting and metrics.
- Demonstrated success in maintaining project schedules and delivering performance reports throughout the project lifecycle.
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Strong aptitude for keeping stakeholders informed of project timelines, updates, and changes.
- U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance.
Additional Differentiators
- Certification as a PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) or equivalent.
- Advanced proficiency in project scheduling tools, such as MS Project, Primavera, Procore, or comparable industry-standard software.
- Extensive experience in schedule planning, management, and optimization.
- Aerospace industry experience or equivalent expertise in developing and maintaining project schedules for advanced technology programs.
Your actual level and base salary will be determined case-by-case and may vary based on the job-related qualification, knowledge, skills, education, and experience. Physical Demands
