Our POS system is evolving, and therefore, our customers are demanding more product capabilities and flexibility with the current feature set. As a member of the Technology team, you will have the opportunity to work on some of our current cloud-backed features to help deliver and iterate on solutions that meet these demands.
Our current stack is built around React and Node.js. The development team is poised for growth and along with that comes many opportunities to learn different skills both technical and not. “Fix it, Ship it, Own it” is our department mantra that we live by daily. We value shipping quality code that delivers end-to-end functionality, and then iterating and improving on that code using feedback loops from our observability stack.
Your Day-to-Day
- Create features using modern JavaScript frameworks like ReactJS on the front end and NodeJS on the back end
- Stay up-to-date with best practices and tooling from the JavaScript community
- Collaborate with your team to solve problems and learn from failures
- Mentor team members and lead estimation efforts on your team
All About You
- You have in-depth knowledge of modern JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3
- You have 5+ years of experience developing production web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks like Express, React and Angular
- Experience with SQL databases and exposure to optimization techniques
- You have a strong understanding of RESTful API consumption, HTTP protocols and OOP
- Exposure to Docker, AWS, CI/CD, and instrumentation tooling
- You’ve worked with teams in an agile-scrum environment
- You are comfortable leading technical decision making, mentoring team developers, and estimating delivery effectively
