TouchBistro is currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Corporate Accounting Team. Reporting to the Manager, Finance you will be responsible for managing both the day-to-day and month-end reporting for TouchBistro's OPEX. In this role you will work closely with teams across the company, as well as with external partners as you contribute to building the financial infrastructure to scale the growth of TouchBistro.

Your Day-to-Day

  • Participate in month-end close processes including the perform monthly OPEX analysis for completeness & accuracy, record non-routine accruals, and FS analytics
  • Entry and reconciliation of payroll entries, commissions payouts, and contract asset capitalization & amortization
  • Preparing month-end reconciliations for assigned balance sheet and income statement accounts, researching issues, resolving discrepancies, and explaining variances. (Including but not limited to contract assets, AP, accrued liabilities, payroll, etc)
  • Ensure proper allocation of software expenses across departments
  • Collaborate with Business Operations to ensure new commissions software meets the needs of the corporate accounting function
  • Record and reconciliation of lease (IFRS 16) related entries (headlease, sublease, lessor, lessee)
  • Oversee projects leveraging technological solutions to streamline business processes
  • Assist with external audits, document processes, ensure performance of key controls, and obtain/provide support as necessary
  • Coach and guide other team members within the Finance team

All About You

  • You have 3+ years of experience, and a BA/B Comm in Accounting or Finance
  • You have completed or are actively pursuing the final level of an accounting designation (CPA, or international equivalent)
  • You've worked in a IFRS environment
  • You're an expert in processes including month-end close, variances analysis, and reconciliations
  • You're experienced working in a multi-currency environment
  • You have proven experience with Excel, MS Office, and accounting software
  • You're a problem-solver who searches for process deficiencies and identifies solutions
  • You're flexible, as the organization is constantly changing and your daily tasks might vary accordingly
  • You're a natural leader, with strong communication and interpersonal skills – you're comfortable coordinating with other departments

Nice To Haves

  • Startup - midsize industry experience a plus
  • Exposure to or an understanding of IFRS 16
  • Experience with NetSuite (or other cloud-based accounting software)
