About the job

The Technical Operations Engineer is a key member of the global team operating TS Imagine’s 24/7 high availability, mission critical, trading and risk management SaaS platform, used by some of the largest and most known financial institutions in the world. The primary focus of this full-time role is to ensure reliability, quality and performance of our systems, to provide 2^nd and 3^rd line technical support for the platform, and to develop new and improved services for our clients.

What you’ll do

• Monitor and troubleshoot large suites of automated processing, incident management and recurrence prevention
• Second-level production client support, building solutions and optimising performance whilst getting ahead of client requirements
• Partner with the Development Teams to support new features, services, releases and assist production deployment
• To become an expert in our services and innovate for continual improvement
• Design, build and extend tools for service level monitoring and performance measurement
• Develop provisioning to support other internal teams and to help improve their productivity, automation and contribute to ongoing enhancement of all operations functions
• Work closely with DBA and System Administrators where applicable to improve the standard and success of platform services
• Collaborate with all teams to deliver exceptional client experience

You should have

• A degree in Computer Science, Finance or a quantitative field preferred
• At least 3 years’ experience working with mission-critical production software systems
• A good understanding of Linux and networking fundamentals
• Strong experiences with Linux environment, scripting and RDMS/NOSQL are critical
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, organised and detail-oriented
• A passion for delivering exceptional service and building robust, scalable systems
• The ability to work under pressure and multi-task whilst maintaining exceptional quality
• Experience with cloud platforms, container technology, SDLC, and the financial industry would all be a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication and outstanding interpersonal skills
