ABOUT THIS POSITION

The Director, Operational Analytics & Business Intelligence will lead the Operational Analytics team developing the vision and resources for data-driven strategic financial analytics projects utilizing mathematics, statistics, engineering, and/or operational research to solve business problems and make better business decisions. This role supports Client Operations department forecasting optimization, simulation, data mining, experimental designs, and causal and sensitivity relationship identification. The ideal candidate will prepare and present strategic insights, recommendations, proposals, and business cases to influence key internal stakeholders and Senior Leadership.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • The Director, Operations Analytics & Business Intelligence will lead the Operational Data Analytics team developing the vision and resources for data-driven strategic operational analytics projects utilizing mathematics, statistics, engineering, and/or operational research to solve business problems and make better business decisions
  • This role supports operational data forecasting, optimization, simulation, data mining, experimental designs, and causal and sensitivity relationship identification
  • This position coordinates with cross-functional teams of Finance, Engineering, Operations, IT and other resources, as applicable, for the projects
  • The ideal candidate will prepare and present strategic insights, recommendations, proposals, and business cases to influence key internal stakeholders and Senior Leadership
  • Develops data mining and advanced analytics strategies
  • Oversees tool development and metrics availability
  • Develops and manages project roadmaps
  • Serves as internal project lead
  • Provides ad hoc project support
  • Leads and develops others

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Total experience of 10 years or more
  • Relevant job experience of 3 years or more
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or internationally comparable degree) in Mathematics, Business, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Creative thinker who comes up with innovative ideas and solutions
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Excellent analytical skills to conduct data analysis
  • Leading complex, large scale transformation programs
  • Building advanced data models
  • Demonstrates strong communication skills, including authoring and delivering presentations to multiple levels of management

  • Postgraduate degree (or internationally comparable degree) in similarly applicable fields of study

  • Self-motivated, ability to work with little or no oversight while possessing a solution seeking attitude
