ABOUT THIS POSITION

Function as a Trading Partner Operations Specialist for EDI connection projects with Waystar trading partners. Coordinators must fully understand all requirements to complete the connection, assign tasks to internal and external resources and ensure the project is delivered on time and within budget. Effectively communicate project requirements to the project team which will include both technical and non-technical individuals. Coordinators will audit EDI transactions to ensure accurate data processing for our clients. Support payer activities and system changes. Continuously improve the department processes and procedures to ensure the highest value possible for our customers.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Owner of all responsibilities related to Payer Projects
  • Establish new payer connections as directed by the Trading Partner Operations Sr. Manager following established departmental procedures
  • Provide insight and direction to the development process as it relates to EDI transactions
  • Communicate closely with Operations, IT, Sales, and the other analysts in development of new payer connections
  • Escalation point between production and payer to meet the operational deliverables for the payer and management of expectations
  • Review payer and route bulletins and take appropriate action as necessary
  • Contribute to the constant and continuing population and enriching of a route contact database and direct connect information
  • Monitor all payer projects to ensure timely completion of projects and project stages.
  • Maintain current action item list for each project,
  • Develop a basic understanding of the production reports as they relate to payer connections
  • Implementation of transactions with Waystar’s trading partners
  • Maintenance of Waystar's payer list
  • Coordinate with Trading Partner Operations Sr. Manager on process needs
  • Trading Partner Operations Salesforce queue triage
  • Conduct provider testing as needed
  • Implementation specialist for industry mandates affecting EDI
  • Notification of industry changes and payer maintenance to clients
  • Coordination of route hand-offs to EDI production
  • Meet standards of implementation quality checks
  • Document and update processes and workflow for efficient payer projects

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Excellent analytic and problem solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Windows-based computer environment, including MS Office and related programs.
  • Active ownership and responsibility regarding duties and task.
  • Ability to work unsupervised in a corporate environment.
  • Knowledge of healthcare claims transactions
  • 2-year or 4-year college degree or equivalent experience.
  • General EDI knowledge
