ABOUT THIS POSITION
The DevOps Engineer will play a crucial role in managing and improving our DevOps practices. You will work on deploying, monitoring, and maintaining infrastructure and applications, while collaborating with development and operations teams to enhance our CI/CD pipelines and automate workflows. This role requires a solid understanding of DevOps principles and tools, with opportunities for growth and leadership.WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Infrastructure Management: Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure and on-premises systems. Ensure systems are configured for high availability, performance, and scalability.
- CI/CD Pipeline Development: Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes. Enhance existing pipelines to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Automation: Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools to streamline workflows and reduce manual intervention. Utilize infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) for environment provisioning.
- Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Monitor system performance and application health. Proactively identify and resolve issues, including performance bottlenecks, outages, and security vulnerabilities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to understand application requirements and support integration into the CI/CD pipelines. Collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth and efficient deployments.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to DevOps processes and practices. Contribute to the development of the best practices and standard operating procedures.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for deployment procedures, infrastructure configurations, and automation scripts.
- Support: Provide support for production systems (Homegrown Product) and participate in on-call rotation as needed. Assist with incident response and resolution.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Experience: 5-7 years of experience in .NET/MS SQL with DevOps expertise. Proven experience with cloud platforms, CI/CD tools, and infrastructure management.
Technical Skills:
- Cloud Platforms: Proficiency with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their services.
- CI/CD Tools: Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Harness, or CircleCI.
- Automation: Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Containers: Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes) is desirable.
- Monitoring & Logging: Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack) and practices for system observability.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Ability to collaborate with developers, IT operations, and other stakeholders to achieve shared goals and drive successful outcomes.
- Attention to Detail: Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks.
