ABOUT THIS POSITION
We are looking for a dynamic, energetic intern who is eager to learn about Waystar and the healthcare payments industry. The ideal candidate will be looking to enhance their career and expand their skill set. This unique experience will provide insight into an ever-changing and evolving industry, coupled with the opportunity to join a great company like Waystar.As part of this internship experience, you will expand on your professional development skills as well as gain first-hand knowledge of a niche within the healthcare industry. Interns will assist the company with a variety of tasks including, but not limited to, learning about the healthcare revenue management cycle, enriching data for our Commercial organization, reporting on insights and assisting the Commercial organization with various data cleanliness initiatives.
We are seeking a motivated and creative Instructional Design Intern to join our team. The ideal candidate is a quick learner with strong attention to detail and a passion for education. Under the guidance of our instructional design team, the intern will assist in developing and enhancing instructional materials for various learning platforms.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the instructional design team to analyze learning needs and develop learning objectives.
Assist in designing and developing instructional materials, including presentations, e-learning modules, videos, and assessments.
Conduct research on educational best practices, learning theories, and instructional technologies to inform design decisions.
Review and provide feedback on existing instructional materials to ensure alignment with learning objectives and quality standards.
Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas for improving learning experiences.
Support the implementation and evaluation of instructional materials, gathering feedback from users and stakeholders.
Utilize tools such as PowerPoint, Camtasia and Articulate to create training programs.

2nd Semester Junior or Senior; 3.2 or above GPA
Actively involved on campus and/or community
Majors/Minors: Open
Interest in healthcare and/or technology
Curiosity to go deeper into the projects given
Ability to adapt and pivot with competing priorities and/or deadlines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc.)
Interview process:
30-minute virtual interview with TA and Manager/Buddy
