Launch Managers work cross‑functionally to prepare the organization and our clients for new products and features. They lead and coordinate workstreams to deliver a cohesive, end‑to‑end launch experience—leveraging modern tools and AI‑driven insights to work smarter, not harder.Successful candidates thrive in dynamic environments, communicate effectively with stakeholders ranging from individual contributors to executives, and influence teams without direct authority. As Waystar continues to grow, Launch Managers must be adaptable, flexible, and committed to continuous improvement—challenging the status quo through retrospectives, process enhancements, thoughtful use of AI, and the sharing of best practices.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Project Management
- Oversee the coordination, reporting, and overall stability of launch-related initiatives.
- Engage and manage stakeholders across Product, Marketing, Engineering, Client Experience, Sales, Solution Adoption, Finance, and Accounting.
- Lead project scoping, planning, execution, and timeline management for cross-functional workstreams.
- Monitor and control project scope, addressing scope changes or re‑scoping needs.
- Facilitate cross-functional meetings to review progress, surface risks, and maintain alignment.
- Learn Waystar products and processes to proactively identify risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities—and work with teams to resolve them.
- Analyze and manipulate small data sets to inform decisions and influence stakeholders.
- Artificial Intelligence
- Proficiency with Copilot or similar AI tooling
- Ability to build AI agents
- Communication
- Deliver clear, targeted project updates to cross-functional teams and leadership.
- Summarize complex or changing information in a concise, actionable format.
- Prepare and present executive-level reporting.
- Produce polished, accurate written communication that adheres to Waystar standards.
- Leadership
- Thoughtfully challenge existing processes and highlight opportunities for improvement.
- Support team knowledge sharing through collaboration, learning sessions, and best‑practice enablement.
- Collaboration
- Build strong, transparent relationships across Waystar at all levels.
- Contribute positively to team dynamics, fostering trust and shared ownership.
- Consistently approach decisions with a win‑win mindset, prioritizing what is best for the organization.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2–5+ years of project management experience
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new technology tools
- Experience facilitating large meetings (20+ participants)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to adapt in a changing environment
- Knowledge of relationship‑focused leadership, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continuous improvement, empowerment, and transparency
- Willingness to travel periodically
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Experience launching new products or features
- Experience in software development or the healthcare industry
