Job Summary:

As a Senior Software Support Engineer on the Boomi Global Support Team, you will play a key role to provide effective support resolution and optimization of the Boomi Platform. Our global team provides around-the-clock support to our customers to ensure success and achievement of business outcomes.

Target start date: 11/15/2023

*Work hours: 9am - 5pm PT / 12pm - 8pm ET (Monday - Friday); on-call rotations; hours flexibility; remote

What you'll do:

  • Engage with Boomi customers through virtual meetings, chat, and email

  • Manage customer expectations, set priorities and resolve technical issues related to our products, including configuration and networking

  • Listen effectively to understand and troubleshoot complex customer issues, identifying the root cause, and using technical expertise to find creative, timely, and accurate solutions

  • Communicate knowledge and recommendations to a wide audience including those with technical and non-technical backgrounds

  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams providing customer feedback to help identify new features and functions

The experience you bring:

  • 3-5 years of experience with cloud-based software applications; including installation, administration, and troubleshooting

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience

  • Ability to read, write, and interpret multiple programming and scripting languages, such as Java, React, Groovy, Java Script

  • API design and development experience

  • Windows and Linux OS experience

  • Ability to analyze error logs for Java programs, Windows OS, Linux OS

  • Understanding of network fundamentals, including network trace analysis

  • Understanding of database administration

  • Advanced knowledge of performance tuning techniques and tools

  • Thorough understanding of how data is transmitted securely across the network

Bonus points if you have:

  • Boomi platform certifications and/or knowledge

  • NetSuite, Salesforce, Hadoop, Linux system administration

  • Knowledge of Postman and OAuth 2.0

  • IT Consultant or Software Developer experience

Boomi is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The minimum base compensation for this position begins at $106,134 annually + applicable annual bonus. This position is remote-friendly and, as such, final compensation will be determined by various factors including the candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location.
