Senior Principal Software Engineer

Location: Flexible (Remote or On-site)

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Boomi Technical SWAT Resource to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in Boomi products and demonstrate proficiency in network debugging, thread and heap dump analysis, middleware debugging, and troubleshooting complex software problems. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, customer-facing experience, and the ability to work collaboratively with technical engineering teams are essential for success in this role. The candidate must be willing to travel to customer locations worldwide to resolve complex software issues and be available to swarm with engineering teams to resolve product defects on a 24x7 basis.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and maintain deep technical knowledge of Boomi products, including integration, API management, and workflow automation capabilities.

  • Conduct network debugging, analyze thread dumps and heap dumps, and perform middleware debugging to identify and resolve complex technical issues.

  • Communicate effectively with customers to understand their requirements, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely and accurate resolutions.

  • Travel to customer locations worldwide to provide on-site support and resolve complex software problems, as required.

  • Collaborate with technical engineering teams to swarm and resolve product defects on a 24x7 basis, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.

  • Document technical solutions, best practices, and troubleshooting procedures for internal and external knowledge sharing.

The Experience You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in technical support or software engineering roles, with a focus on integration technologies.

  • Deep technical knowledge of Boomi products, including AtomSphere, Flow, API Management, and Master Data Hub.

  • Proficiency in network debugging, thread and heap dump analysis, and middleware debugging techniques.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Strong customer-facing skills and experience in providing on-site support to resolve complex software issues.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with technical engineering teams to swarm and resolve product defects on a 24x7 basis.

  • Willingness to travel to customer locations worldwide as needed to provide on-site support and resolve technical issues.

Boomi is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base compensation for this position in the US ranges between $149,990 - $187,403 USD annually + applicable bonus. This position is remote-friendly and, as such, final compensation will be determined by various factors including the candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location.
