Position Title: Software Quality Senior Engineer (Multiple Positions Available).

Location: 1 W Elm Street, Suite 200, Conshohocken, PA 19428

Hours: 40 hours per week

Telecommuting: Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week

JOB DUTIES: Work with a team of developers and testers in a highly agile environment to produce quality software to customers. Build functional regression tests for existing and new features. Apply advanced automated functional testing techniques in the testing environment. Create API (Application programming interface) tests to validate contract with internal and external facing APIs. Build and maintain functional and non-functional regression testing suites. Write integration tests to verify if the application is working as expected during the build. Analyze software test results to identify software failures, investigate bugs in features, erroneous test failures, and areas of improvement to ensure seamless proper development. Identify permutations and combinations of various input types in software features which help in the creation of test cases. Design, develop, and execute software test plans, log defects to an agreed-upon severity rating, and make recommendations to address defects to the Product team. Review and continually improve quality assurance practices, including creation and update of documentation related to quality assurance processes and guidelines. Mentor junior engineers and help them grow their skills. Work independently with minimal guidance from technical leadership.

REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field of study and three (3) years of experience in the job offered, Software Quality Assurance Engineer, Application Development Analyst, or related occupation.

Alternatively, Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field of study and five (5) years of experience in the job offered, Software Quality Assurance Engineer, Application Development Analyst, or related occupation.

Applicants must have demonstrated experience with the following:

  • Testing software applications developed using Java and technologies (Selenium, AWS, Spring Boot, Ansible, Maven, Hibernate, Liquibase, and GWT);
  • Automating functional tests using software tools and technologies (IntelliJ, Python, ReadyAPI, MySQL, TestNG, Elasticsearch, and Docker);
  • Applying automated testing techniques using AtomSphere;
  • Creating API tests (ReadyAPI, REST Assured, and Junit) to validate the contract with internal and external facing APIs;
  • Writing integration tests to verify application functionality using tools and technologies (Rest, SOAP, WSDL, JUnit, Jenkins, Testcontainer, and LocalStack);
  • Working in Linux environment;
  • Acceptance testing;
  • Boundary value testing;
  • Graphical user interface testing;
  • Load testing and performance testing;
  • Browser and OS (Window and MacOS) compatibility testing;
  • End-to-end testing;
  • Providing impact analysis and regression testing of software changes; and
  • Integration testing.
