The VP of HR will have proven experience as an HR Executive managing a staff of HR professionals in the following HR disciplines: Talent Acquisition, Performance Management, Compensation including incentive plans, Benefits Administration (self-funded plans), 401k, HR management systems, Organizational Design/Development; M&A HR due diligence/integration, Learning & Development, Worker’s Compensation, Employee/Labor relations, Safety/OSHA, and Labor laws/Compliance. You will also act as an HRBP to the CEO and Executive Management Team

This is a hybrid role where you are expected to be on-site three days a week: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages an HR team of professionals who oversee all HR disciplines, ie, talent acquisition, talent and performance management, HR management systems, compensation, benefits, Employee/Labor Relations and Compliance.
  • Collaborates with executive leadership to define the organization’s long-term mission and goals; identifies ways to support this mission through HR strategies, programs, and systems.
  • Acts as HRBP to the CEO & Executive Management Team (EMT). Represents the Company’s HR function at all Sr HR Leader P/E functions.
  • Identifies key performance indicators for the organization’s human resource and talent management functions; assesses the organization’s success and market competitiveness based on these metrics.
  • Researches, develops, and implements competitive compensation, benefits, performance appraisal, and employee incentive programs.
  • Oversees human capital management systems, and all related obligations and Compliance.
  • Directs HR team and partners with leaders on all Organizational Design and Development, Hi-Potential and Mentor programs as well as partner on Culture, CSR, and DE&I initiatives.
  • Direct staff on all HR M&A activities and reductions in force.
  • Regularly evaluates human resources technology and its possible application for the company.
  • Provides guidance and leadership to the department teams; assists with resolution of human resources, payroll, compensation, and benefits questions, concerns, and issues.
  • Manages enterprise risk through worker’s compensation and safety/OSHA internal programs.

Position Qualifications:

  • 10-15 years progressive HR leadership experience overseeing all HR disciplines with at least 5 years at a Vice President level reporting to either an SVP/HR, CHRO, Division President, or CEO.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field with an MBA preferred.
  • Aptitude in critical thinking skills and problem solving.
  • Good interpersonal skills, good written and verbal communication skills as well as presentation skills at the Board level.
