This position will use their knowledge of the classroom and novel market and purchasing best practices to perform procurement processes specifically related to the Classroom market. This position is the point of contact for the procurement of titles associated with various industry wide Curriculums (ie. Wit & Wisdom, Amplify, etc.). This includes the pairing of various textbook publisher product with supplemental books and novels used in the classroom environment. This role will also coordinate with the New School / Large Order team on reserving inventory for specific large projects.

• Reviews and recommends purchase amounts and inventory levels with the Director of Inventory Mgmt. related to alternative sourcing relationships specific to the Classroom market. Builds relationships with these alternative sourcing vendors to procure needed curriculum core and supplemental titles to enhance FCS position in this market and for specific projects. Collaborates with the publishing Partner Management team to understand new and popular book titles coming to publication.
• Assist Director of Inventory Management & Operational Planning with the daily coordination of Classroom projects that are ordered independently from the systematic ordering process. This includes the setup/monitoring/closing out on inventory reserves related to these specific inventory projects.
• Assist Director of Inventory Management & Operational Planning with various tasks as assigned (such as pulling data for bid requests).

Requirements

• Bachelors degree and equivalent experience
• 3-5 years of experience
