The Financial Analyst will collaborate with every team at Follett to perform financial analysis, generate budgets and forecasts, and build financial and operating models to support key tactical and strategic decisions for the company.
- Prepare templates, facilitate meetings, and provide guidance and support to organization for monthly financial and management reviews. This includes understanding major variances impacting the P&L and FCF and summarize for high level business presentations
- Own internal monthly reporting and variance reviews for different functions of the business including but not limited to Revenue, SG&A, EBITDA & Balance Sheet. Reconcile, validate, and ensure consistency of data from submitted to Financial Reporting system
- Drive continuous process improvements in reporting, forecasting, and budgeting activities through automation, system enhancements, data quality, consolidation, and quality improvement
- Bubble up relevant and timely analysis and insight to management, seeking to connect the dots in the data and prepare and analyze special projects as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Computer Information Systems
- 2+ years of experience in an analytical role in corporate finance/accounting (PE experience a plus)
- Experience in Netsuite, PBCS, or other financial reporting and dashboarding systems
- Experience building financial models forecasting Income Statements, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and Power Point financial modeling concepts
- Strong financial acumen, including understanding of all financial statements, KPIs, Adj. EBITDA, and focus on important drivers and how to prioritize drivers
