Position Overview:

This position will be responsible for driving revenue growth in North America by managing and expanding our existing customer base while aggressively prospecting and securing new business. This role requires a highly motivated, results-driven sales professional with a proven track record in edtech sales and a deep understanding of SIS products and K-12 education. The ideal candidate will have experience in SaaS sales and a strong ability to collaborate with customers, fostering engagement and ensuring a seamless progression on the sales process through the funnel.

  • Business Development & Sales Growth:
  • Prospect, qualify, and close new business opportunities for our Aspen SIS and related modules.
  • Conduct in-depth needs assessments with potential clients, tailoring solutions to meet the specific demands of each district.
  • Develop and execute strategies to upsell and cross-sell additional products within our SIS portfolio to existing customers, maximizing client value and revenue.
  • Account Management & Customer Success:
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients to drive renewals and uncover new opportunities for growth.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, helping schools and districts leverage our Aspen SIS to meet their evolving needs.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget and develop budgets and timelines for clints and the company.
  • Coordinate closely with customer success teams to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction, engagement, and retention.
  • Industry Expertise & Product Knowledge:
  • Stay informed on trends, regulations, and emerging needs in K-12 education and student information systems.
  • Demonstrate in-depth product knowledge, with the ability to communicate the benefits and competitive advantages of our Aspen SIS solutions.
  • Actively participate in industry and host customer events including webinars, and conferences to represent our brand and engage with potential clients.
  • Collaboration & Reporting:
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate sales reports. They may also analyze sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams like marketing, product, and implementation teams to ensure smooth onboarding, training, and support for new clients and develop solutions for them
  • Work with customer support or technical teams to resolve client issues
  • Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts and reports to sales leadership, sharing insights and strategies for continuous improvement
  • Identify and share market feedback to inform product development and innovation efforts.
  • Other duties as assigned

To be considered for and to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3-5 years of experience in edtech sales, specifically with Student Information Systems
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, with a strong focus on hunting new business and managing accounts.
  • Deep understanding of the K-12 education landscape, including challenges faced by schools and districts in managing student data.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed within North America.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with cloud-based, secure data solutions for K-12 and an understanding of the importance of data interoperability.
  • Experience in selling SaaS-based solutions in the education sector.
  • Knowledge of district-level decision-making processes and the ability to navigate complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders
