Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced and quality-driven colleague to join the Data Governance - Quality Team as a Quality Assurance Specialist on a temporary assignment covering maternity leave.
This role plays a critical part in strengthening Macrobond's data quality culture and ensuring the reliability, consistency, and accuracy of our most important datasets. You will work closely with data teams, managers, product stakeholders, and clients to identify quality risks, investigate issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across Content.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, root-cause analysis, cross-team collaboration, and building scalable quality solutions.
Preferred office location: Szczecin or Lisbon (due to required time-zone coverage)
Job Responsibilities
Drive data quality improvements
- Initiate and coordinate activities aimed at improving data quality across Content.
- Identify quality risks and recommend preventive actions.
- Contribute to the development of quality-related tools, checks, processes, and policies.
- Promote quality awareness and best practices across teams.
Support key quality assurance activities
- Perform quality reviews and internal audits of high-usage and prioritized datasets.
- Conduct checklist-based quality assurance before major updates.
- Investigate data quality incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
- Define practical recommendations and improvement plans together with data owners.
- Support ongoing quality improvement projects and initiatives.
Act as a quality partner and advisor
- Provide guidance and support to Content teams on quality-related topics.
- Support Team Leaders with error analysis and quality recommendations.
- Participate in cross-functional discussions involving Content, Product, Sales, and Management.
- Contribute to client-related investigations and quality inquiries when needed.
Improve processes and knowledge sharing
- Support process optimization with a strong focus on scalability and automation.
- Create and maintain documentation, guidelines, and training materials.
- Share knowledge through workshops, presentations, and coaching activities.
- Help strengthen Macrobond's overall data quality culture.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Experience working within Macrobond Content, with strong understanding of Macrobond datasets, processes, and tools, incl.
- Experience with quality investigations, audits, consistency checks, or process improvements.
- Ability to explain complex issues clearly and drive change through collaboration.
- Strong understanding of how data quality impacts client experience.
- Experience coordinating initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.
- Demonstrated interest and involvement in quality-related work, initiatives, or projects.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
- Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A continuous improvement mindset.
