SENIOR PRODUCT MANAGER JOB SUMMARY & MAIN PURPOSE:

The Senior Product Manager with strong experience in Publisher Ad Tech, will be responsible for supporting the Product team and a portion of Operative’s software suite. In this role you will understand the needs of the customers and market, formulate and drive the roadmap, draft and guide the implementation of requirements, interface with engineering and QA to ensure quality development, and support sales and marketing in product rollouts and communication activities.

Operative builds solutions to manage advertising across many verticals, including digital pureplay, linear TV, and advanced advertising platforms,, making it easy for our media clients to deliver any audience and any outcome to their buyers. 300+ media companies as clients including NBC, HBO, CBS. FOX and Disney, $40+ billion in revenue processed, 25,000+ worldwide users, 1,000+ employees in 10 offices around the globe.

This role is hybrid in NY Metro or remote outside of NY Metro*

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Attend customer meetings to understand priorities and requirements, learning the nuances of their business to best achieve sometimes divergent goals.
  • Research and analyze feedback from customers٫ stakeholders and other teams to shape requirements.
  • Ability to breakdown requirements into lean incremental value to align with agile development practices.
  • Ability to communicate the business value and ROI of your requirements to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Interlock with Engineering and QA teams to manage development of software in an iterative, agile lifecycle, including two weeks sprints with daily stand ups, and six week releases.
  • Understand the software lifecycle to interface with internal teams about development, testing, and release planning.
  • Perform demos for internal and external audiences to showcase development and ensure business alignment, optimal user experience, and adoption.
  • Work with Learning and Development team to communicate new feature rollouts for release notes, training materials, and other forms of communication.

COMPETENCIES:

  • Experienced in Ad Tech with a background in publisher-oriented sales order management software or adservers. Firm understanding of the ever-changing Ad Tech arena and how Operatives offerings fits into it. Background in both direct sales and programmatic sales channels. Candidates w/ this background will be strongly considered.
  • 3-5 years SaaS Product Management experience.
  • Experience with Agile product development process and generally, the software development lifecycle
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills consistently demonstrating a history as a hyper collaborator.
  • A detail-oriented mind, possessing the ability to take client requirements and drive general market value.
  • History of design first thinking with an interest in usability.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • An ideal candidate will have worked for an Ad tech company producing publisher focused solutions hosting a BSc or BA in Computer Science٫ Engineering or other related area.

*If you live w/in the metro NYC area, there will be a hybrid policy of 2 days per week in our Manhattan office. If outside of metro NYC area, the role will be fully remote.

The base salary range is $100,000-$170,000. The annual performance bonus range is $10,000-$17,000. Salary ranges are determined through alignment with market data. The base salary amount offered is determined by a number of factors including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and skills.
