SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER JOB SUMMARY (*Hybrid or Remote):

Operative’s Professional Services department is seeking a dynamic, hyper organized, detail-driven individual to join our growing team as a Senior Project Manager. In this exciting client-facing role, the individual will oversee software implementations for the world’s largest media companies from project initiation to closure.

This role is hybrid in NY Metro or remote outside of NY Metro*

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the E2E project lifecycle, working from project inception, collating estimations from internal teams and building high-level plans to support Sales, through to project initiation, delivery, go-live, and ultimately hyper care transition to the Support org.
  • Develop milestone documents and full-scale project plans.
  • Ensure projects meet internal and client expectations with respect to quality, scope, delivery timelines, and strategy.
  • Assemble, coordinate, direct and support the project team.
  • Consistently identify, track/monitor, manage, mitigate, and report on project progress and risks to all stakeholders.
  • Proactively document, report and manage project issues, actions, decisions, and problems as they arise.
  • Drive management of client expectations vs. project scope.
  • Communicate effectively to all stakeholders, from senior management to project team members, ensuring project alignment and progress.
  • Direct a cross-functional internal team to ensure deliverables and targets are being met.
  • Manage project resourcing, financial forecasting, and profitability reporting.
  • Proactively provide inputs for internal improvements and assist on or sometimes lead related initiatives.
  • Prepare weekly status reports and lead internal and external status meetings.

COMPETENCIES:

  • A project manager is expected to manage both customers and internal stakeholders tactfully but firmly where required, representing Operative alongside our customer relationship managers.
  • At least 3+ years of experience with all aspects of software project management practice, including a strong track record of project delivery for large, cross functional, and complex software projects.
  • Previous experience driving effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across disparate geographical groups with competing priorities.
  • Strong organizational ability and keen attention to detail, with strong prioritization skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Strong computer skills, very proficient with MS Office applications. Experience using MS Project and Excel a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, OpenAir, and JIRA preferred.
  • SaaS implementation and Agile process experience a plus.
  • Experience in Media Advertising industry a plus.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree.
  • At least 3 years of experience with all aspects of software project management practice, including a strong track record of project delivery for large, cross functional, and complex software projects.
  • Availability to travel up to 25%.
  • Regular business hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. However, hours may vary as dictated by project demands.

The base salary range for this role is currently $110,000 - $150,000 plus performance bonus. Salary ranges are determined through alignment with market data. The base salary amount offered is determined by a number of factors including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and skills.
