Role Summary

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Citrix VDI Engineer to lead and manage our Citrix virtual desktop infrastructure hosted in Amazon Web Services (AWS). The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in Citrix technologies, Windows Server, and Active Directory, while also contributing to architecture, performance tuning, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

· Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for all Citrix VDI-related infrastructure hosted in Amazon Web Services (AWS).

· Design, implement, and maintain highly available Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop environments.

· Manage and administer Citrix NetScaler (ADC/VPX) for secure remote access and application delivery.

· Maintain Citrix application publishing and troubleshoot end-to-end connectivity issues.

· Oversee the integration and operational health of Active Directory, GPOs, and domain trust relationships within Citrix environments.

· Administer and optimize Windows Server infrastructure (2016/2019/2022) in virtualized settings.

· Proactively monitor virtual environments (Citrix on AWS) for performance, capacity, and resiliency.

· Collaborate with CloudOps and SecOps teams to align infrastructure with security and compliance standards.

· Conduct disaster recovery planning and testing for Citrix-based systems.

· Automate and document operational processes, configuration management, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

· Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) for complex issues and drive long-term remediation.

· Support and mentor junior engineers as a technical leader in the team.

Must-Have Skills

· Deep experience with Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop (7.x and above) and NetScaler (ADC/VPX 14.x and above)

· Strong Windows Server administration experience, including patching, GPOs, security baselines

· Solid knowledge of Active Directory, including design, replication, Re group policy management, and user authentication flows

· Experience managing Citrix infrastructure in AWS, including integration with EC2, VPC, and CloudWatch
