JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a talented, independent yet team-spirited attorney with a passion for technology, law, compliance and negotiations to join Operative’s close- knit collaborative legal team that supports all compliance and commercial needs of group entities around the world.

The roles and responsibilities of the successful applicant would include ongoing support of organizational compliance requirements and policies, as well as advising internal stakeholders, preparing, supporting and leading commercial negotiations with customers and vendors.

Reports To: General Counsel, based in New York, NY. The other member of the legal team is based in Israel.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Privacy & Compliance: Manage Operative's data privacy program, including data subject requests, data mapping, DPIAs/PIAs, and drafting/updating privacy and data retention policies. Coordinate compliance initiatives across departments.
• Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate vendor agreements. Manage intake, purchase orders, and internal approval processes in collaboration with Procurement.
• Commercial Sales Support: Support Operative’s sales business (SaaS, on-premises software, managed services) by negotiating commercial agreements, technology contracts (SaaS agreements, software licenses, SOWs, DPAs), handling RFPs, change orders, and renewals. Streamline and scale the contract negotiation process with input from sales, engineering, and support teams.
• Collections Support:Assist with collections disputes, including customer bankruptcy matters.
• Collaboration: Work as part of a cross-functional agile team, partnering with stakeholders across the organization.

COMPETENCIES

Required Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school; member of the Israeli or New York Bar in good standing.
• 3+ years of experience in privacy law and compliance with strong knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, and global privacy requirements.
• Working knowledge of SaaS agreements and commercial contract negotiations

• Strong negotiation, prioritization, and organizational skills with ability to independently manage high-volume requests
• Proven ability to drive deals to completion with professional enthusiasm and sound judgment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable working with cross-functional teams and external parties
• Ability to multitask and problem-solve in a fast-paced, evolving environment
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading and writing)

ADDITIONAL COMPETENCIES (ADVANTAGE)

• Member of a foreign (US or UK) Bar, in good standing.
• Industry certifications - IAPP certifications (CIPP, CIPM)
