We are seeking an Engineering Manager to join our Payment Gateway team. As an Engineering Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing and developing a highly skilled team of engineers. You will have an opportunity to build and deliver sophisticated applications which are part of our payment processing infrastructure and payment gateways. You will lead by example, inspire creativity, and foster a culture of technical excellence and innovation within the engineering department.
What to expect:
- You will lead several teams of engineers (10 – 15 people) through hiring, coaching, mentoring and hands-on career development.
- Provide strong leadership to the team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, engagement and continuous improvement.
- Lead and own delivery of modern technical solutions, addressing business needs and ensuring adherence to timelines, quality, and product requirements.
- Oversee the technical design and implementation of features following industry best practices and scalability requirements.
- Effectively communicate updates, progress, and challenges to key stakeholders, including executive leadership and product managers.
- Craft a meaningful vision for the team, working closely with product managers, stakeholders, fellow engineering managers and other development teams.
- Promote agile software development and evangelize great engineering and organizational practices to improve team efficiency and facilitate rapid iterations.
- Promote tools and processes supporting highly professional software standards.
- Actively collaborate with your colleagues and other leaders in the organization.
To be successful you need to:
- Love developing and growing people and have a track record doing it.
- Care about empowering people and have proven leadership experience with the ability to coach, motivate, and inspire the team.
- Proven experience in managing software developers and delivering successful products in a fast-paced environment.
- Be skilled in stakeholder management, effectively fostering seamless collaboration with product managers and designers.
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Be knowledgeable and passionate about technology, optimization, scalability and security.
- Have experience in building and supporting high-scale, and high-availability systems.
- Have deep technical expertise and understanding of software development principles and methodologies.
- Have a very good command of English.
Any of the following is considered a plus:
- Experience with payment gateway integrations and secure transaction processing.
- Previous software development experience as engineer.
