What's exciting about the role

As our new Senior Partner Manager you are fundamental in retaining and protecting our current partner base by establishing effective relationships, maintaining communication and clearly comprehending the partners proposition and their wants and needs to align our value proposition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop on existing relationships, continue to offer excellence and seek opportunities to optimize partner referrals for all areas of VF, including acquiring services.
  • Agree partner specific commercial agreements based on the partner value proposition.
  • Demonstrate strong solution and acquiring knowledge to win new business.
  • Adept knowledge of the payments industry and understanding of partnerships.
  • Work in a multi-agency manner with all departments to support the needs of the partner.
  • Global operation – expand your knowledge and work collaboratively with our partners and colleagues in other regions.
  • Attend partner facing meetings on a regular basis to enhance our communication and build on partner relationships.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to win new business and attend shows/ events to support our networking with partners.
  • Be the voice of the partner, ensure you feedback your knowledge to the wider business to identify any opportunities or gaps.
  • Work closely with Technical Presales and Service Delivery Managers to offer a first-choice services and ensure that our partners are well informed on Verifone products and services.
  • Forecast all opportunities within CRM (Salesforce) to ensure stock availability and visibility of revenue to the business.
  • Support partners with group training for their own sales team so that we maximise our reach.
  • Maintain a caseload of partners with clear identification on accounts at risk via a RAG system.
  • Work closely with marketing to ensure we capture any joint marketing opportunities and our collateral is targeted to our partners.
  • Work closely with FD to ensure that we build bespoke commercial negotiations and build a business case for any funding incentives to on board new partners/ retain existing.
  • Clear SWOT analysis and concise understanding of Verifone’s proposition and where there may be additional opportunities to win competitor business.
  • Formulate a clear engagement strategy in order to maintain clear and frequent contact with our key partners whilst seeking opportunities to harness new relationships.
  • Work closely with major account managers to ensure cohesion with any mutual key clients and their dependency on new integration.

Skills and Experience we desire

  • Creative negotiations, lateral thinking, upsell, cross sell and win new business.
  • Be a payment consultant and solutions architect.
  • Ethical and consultative approach to sales.
  • Work closely with other departments to understand customer needs and ensure effective support mechanisms in place.
  • Report back to product and relevant parts of the business in terms of products gaps/analysis and feedback to retain and grow the customer and partner estates.
  • Update the team on business strategy and any service -related issues that impact on their daily responsibilities.
  • Ensure that the team are updating and building their forecast for acquiring, terminals and Ecommerce to give visibility of upside, pipeline and commit.
  • Coordinate meeting agendas and ensure minutes are documented accordingly.
  • Resolution focused thinking, looking at various options and ways to think creatively around objections/ potential blockers.
  • Apply a consultative approach - become a solutions architect and commerce expert through self -learning and continual product training, consulting with your partners to understand their changing commerce requirements.
  • Thinking creatively and approaching each challenge as an opportunity to develop and win business.
  • Responsible for ensuring all information is accurate, up to date and reported to senior stakeholders.
  • Share market intelligence and competitor information with the appropriate internal contacts via Trip reports and feedback to appropriate parts of the business.
  • Adopt Verifone Values, Accountability, sense of Urgency and Simplification.
  • Work in conjunction with senior leadership team to understand and adhere to the Partner strategy.
