What's exciting about the role

Verifone Finland Oy received the Payment Institution license end of 2013. Our growth in the Payment Institution business is increasing significantly and we will expanding the Payment Institution business to Nordic countries and Baltics and to support this we are hiring a Risk Analyst to join our team.

Your most important responsibilities in this role are the risk and fraud management of the Verifone operations in accordance with the Payment Institutions Act, as well as tasks related to preventing money laundering and financing terrorism. The assignment also includes risk and fraud analyses of the Payment Institute business customers.

You work as part of the payment institution team and use Finnish and English as your working languages.

You will report to our Head of Risk and Compliance Nordics and Baltics at Verifone Finland Oy.

Working hours are 8am to 4pm. Your office is located in Vantaankoski or in the City of Helsinki and we ask for you to be in the office at least 2-3 days per week with the remainder of the week working from home if you want to.

We will check your background and we will need you to provide us Finnish Security and Intelligence Service's Security Clearance before hiring.

Additional responsibilities:

• Analyse business activities and operations for risk
• Identify areas of potential loss or damage and quantify impact
• Implement and evaluate compliance with business risk-reduction policies, processes and standards
• May participate in the development and maintenance of disaster recovery and business continuity plans
• Support organisational processes and programs for mitigation of financial risk, including administration of insurance
• May support and administer security and health/safety programs in addition to risk management activities.
• Analyse financial status and know our clients
• Provide risk analysis to our sales and management team

Skills, Experience and Education we desire

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics
• Experience in risk management or money laundering and counter-financing terrorism prevention tasks
• Fluent in both Finnish and English, written and verbal
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Excellent attention to detail with a can-do attitude and the ability to perform tasks using your own initiative
• Analytical with ability to understand and perceive complex issues and cause-and-effect relationships
• Adaptable and versatile
• Collaborative person and can work well with others
