We are seeking an experienced Hardware Implementation Engineer. You can work remotely from the UK, Ireland or Germany or from one of our offices - London Heathrow, Bads Hersfeld or Dublin.
What's exciting about the role
Main responsibilities
- Support customers with hardware technical guidance
- Support customer role outs and customer related field issues for new product introduction
- Support regional software teams with hardware technical guidance
- Support regional software development teams for new product introduction
- Provide onsite customer support when required
- Support hardware engineering sustaining efforts for fielded product
- Support operational teams with field related hardware swaps
- Support operational teams with hardware technical guidance
- Evaluate Verifone’s hardware customer support processes to find ways to improve it
- Write technical documentation advising customers of hardware change management
- Recommend technology that can enhance Verifone’s hardware products
- Stay apprised of industry trends, news, and advancements, especially in assigned region
Skills and Experience we desire
- University Degree or equivalent with at least 8-years’ related experience as a Hardware Engineer
- Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate decision-making across the Marketing, Sales, Logistics, Manufacturing, Sourcing and Finance organizations
- Solid problem-solving and analytical skills with willingness and ability to challenge assumptions drive change and improvement
- Strong communication skill, both oral and written, including effective negotiation skills
- Strong knowledge of payment industry regulatory standards including, PCI and EMV
- Strong knowledge of regional regulatory requirements for product importation and deployment
- Strong knowledge of Android hardware and operating system technology
- Should have the following skill sets: persuasion, supervisory, active listening and learning, communication, critical thinking, analytical thinking, judgment, and decision making, reading comprehension, project management, mathematics, time management, presentation, and operations analysis
