About the role

Verifone is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Solutions Consultant to join our team. This role is crucial for delivering innovative and effective payment solutions to our clients. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in designing and implementing technical solutions within the payments industry, with a strong focus on client needs and business objectives. The Technical Solutions Consultant team this role will be a part of, holds a high degree of internal and external relationships specific to the payments industry and helps to drive business strategy and growth within their region.

What you'll do

At Verifone, the Technical Solutions Consultant plays a pivotal role in our enterprise sales process. By leveraging your deep product, technical, and industry expertise, you will craft comprehensive solutions for both new and existing clients. Your mission will be to uncover prospect requirements, identify key product functionalities, and recommend the optimal solutions and services that align with client needs. This will be achieved through collaborative commercial presentations and detailed product information sharing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Engagement and Support: Facilitate pre-sales discussions with clients, providing expert insights into the payments industry, integration possibilities, product features, connectivity structures, and best practices. Represent Verifone at the highest level in client-facing meetings.
  • Solution Design and Scoping: Lead the technical and financial discovery phase for new business opportunities, crafting tailored solutions that seamlessly transition to the implementation team.
  • Strategic Internal Collaboration: Partner with product, implementation, corporate support, and other key stakeholders to support internal strategic initiatives, leveraging your platform and functionality knowledge.
  • Proposal and Information Requests: Contribute to requests for proposals (RFPs) and requests for information (RFI), ensuring accurate and compelling technical content.
  • Product Presentations and Demonstrations: Develop and deliver engaging product presentations and demonstrations to clients and prospects, both in person and through web-based tools.
  • Business Development: Balance your time effectively between supporting new business, nurturing existing relationships, and assisting the product team with product and delivery commercialization efforts.
  • Product Mastery: Cultivate an in-depth understanding of Verifone’s suite of products and platforms, ensuring you can expertly articulate their benefits and functionalities to clients.

What qualifications will you need to be successful?

  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience within the payment industry primarily focused on designing and crafting solutions for clients.
  • Ability to create deep relationships, both internally and externally with partners, and other providers
  • Exceptional attention to detail, coupled with strong presentation and communication skills
  • confident in client-facing meetings, with the ability to represent Verifone professionally and effectively.
  • Working knowledge of the Verifone product offerings and how they compare to the other offering within the payment industry.

Skills and Abilities

  • Self-motivated, articulate, and flexible to work on multiple projects in different time zones across different teams.
  • Ability to work independently but also as a team player.
  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills, particularly the ability to observe and listen to internal and external customers
  • Resilience and flexibility to deal with ambiguity and navigate the demands of different requirements of various stakeholders
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
