About the role:

A Business Analyst will be responsible for translating complex and conflicting technical and commercial requirements into clear, actionable user stories that resonate with both technical engineers and business leaders. He / She will work independently to deliver results quickly and thoroughly, collaborating closely with development teams to ensure specifications meet banking industry standards, particularly for merchant acquiring. Your role includes optimizing processes, managing stakeholder expectations, and ensuring readiness for releases. Also, coordinate with internal and external partners, conduct requirement walkthroughs, and support testing and go-live activities, all while driving continuous improvement and enhancing customer outcomes.

What you'll do:

  • You deal well with conflicting or ambiguous technical and commercial requirements and are able to craft requirements into user stories which both highly technical engineers as well as business and product management leaders understand.
  • You have a track record of working well under limited supervision, with ability to produce results quickly and thoroughly.
  • Thrive working closely with development teams to deliver fit-for-purpose specifications and customer requirements, with a focus on standards and technologies for the banking industry, in particular for merchant acquiring?
  • Adhere, and identify improvements to governance & industry standards.
  • Collaborates with members of the product delivery team.
  • Provide effective optimization approaches to maximize coverage within time and resource constraints.
  • Work with the project team to form strategies to meet the release timelines aligning with the organizational roadmap.
  • Co-ordinate with internal and external partners to develop and manage requirements expectations and user experience.
  • You ensure operational and business readiness for releases.
  • Collaborate across multiple teams (internal & external), to get the best customer outcomes.
  • Conduct walkthroughs of the requirements and specifications with key commercial and engineering resources and clients.
  • Participate in retrospectives and reviews to drive findings and key takeaways toward our continuous process improvements.
  • Support test, go-live and post go-live activities.

What qualifications you will need to be successful:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, preferably in SW Engineering or Computer Science.
  • At least 3 years’ proven experience in the field of requirements engineering in the payments arena.
  • Experienced in scope management, planning and estimation.
  • Experienced building and nurturing relationships with senior partners.
  • Experienced collaborating with functional teams.
  • Demonstrates structured process disciplines.
  • Demonstrates understanding of the phases of systems analysis, the software development process, and/or functional engineering principles.
  • Experience with payment systems and payment systems testing is a plus.
  • Work experience in a global company in both agile and waterfall delivery models.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Able to effectively juggle a wide range various task.

  • Good organization and planning skills.
  • Experience working with JIRA, confluence, MS Project and Office
