About the role:

We are looking for a Software Test Lead for a Fixed Term Employment role. The candidate will ensure customer requirements align with QA criteria and provide estimates for project planning. Responsibilities include creating and managing test artifacts like test strategy documents, test plans, and summary reports, ensuring their acceptance by customers and project teams. The Software Test Lead will oversee an offshore testing team, assign tasks, monitor progress, and manage test execution and defect triage. Additionally, they will represent Verifone in customer QA sessions and handle all formal test documentation and distribution.

What you'll do:

• Participate in the customer discovery sessions, ensuring the requirements gathering captures all applicable acceptance criteria that need to be validated during QA.
• Provide estimates into the end-end project planning and estimation, covering effort, duration, tooling and other dependencies (both Customer of Verifone).
• Create and maintain test artifacts such as test strategy document, test plan, high level test scenarios, test summary report. Manage the review and acceptance of these artifacts by customer and project teams.
• Manage and lead offshore testing team by assigning tasks, setting priorities and monitoring progress.
• Manage and participate in test execution.
• Manage and execute the defect triage and lifecycle.
• Face into the customers QA team and represent Verifone in the customer sessions.
• Create, review and distribute all formal test documentation and artifacts.

What Qualifications will you need to be successful:

• At least 5 years’ experience in contributing to strong QA outcomes through the use of test automation and manual testing practices.
• Understanding and experience crafting software systems for the payments industry, including Application Marketplaces, Terminal Management, Payment Gateways, and software systems stacks based on Android and embedded systems development.
• Strong background in Agile delivery methodologies and tools enabling you to champion key quality principles including unit testing, peer reviews, continuous integration, and test automation.
• Thorough knowledge and experience in Quality assurance lifecycle processes around test data management, test planning, test defect triage/management and reporting, and using tools and techniques for automating much of the test and defect lifecycle.
• Strong verbal and written communication with customer facing skills.
• Experience in terminal payment testing, EMV/Scheme certification is highly preferred.
• Considerable knowledge in API testing.
• Working knowledge with Atlassian toolsets like JIRA and Confluence is a must.
• Experience in leading offshore resources.
• Ability to work independently and in a dynamic and challenging environment.
