What's exciting about the role
The HR Manager is responsible for implementing corporate and regional human resources programs and activities defined in Brazil to support global business units operating there. This role will partner closely with business managers and employees on performance management, coaching, training, employee relations and development, compensation matters, attrition, engagement, and retention.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide insights and practical advice based on an intimate knowledge of local employment law and its practical application supporting a rapidly changing business.
- Handle employee relations at all levels, including supporting and leading investigations of employee concerns, and resolving conflict by applying a knowledgeable systematic approach.
- Coach and develop employees to understand overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures.
- Provide country-specific knowledge relating to compensation, benefits, immigration, and work authorization to ensure effective, and practical solutions.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition and hiring managers to understand local talent availability to obtain the best-in-class talent while assisting with local hiring laws and processes.
- Ensure the local business has practical, regularly updated, easily understood, and well-communicated policies and procedures to maintain local compliance and support the business goals.
- Either personally or in partnership with Total Rewards, execute plans to integrate mergers and acquisitions as appropriate, to ensure legal compliance and to support the goals of the various business units present locally.
- Work proactively within the company’s matrix structure to identify, escalate, and where possible resolve human capital issues in a proactive, smooth, and effective way.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Skills and Experience we desire
- The HR Manager must have a minimum of 5 years of related experience as an HR Manager with a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field is required.; or 3 years of experience as an HR Manager with a master’s degree in Human Resources, business or a related field.
- The ideal candidate for this position will be, first and foremost, focused on supporting business goals. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, pragmatic, and willing to be very hands-on in operations. They will have the credibility to contribute to the operational plans for the local business from the perspective of driving business performance.
- Must have a strong human resources generalist background over several years with the ability to provide expertise in a wide range of HR support. In addition, the candidate should be capable of personally providing change management expertise and solutions.
- Experience working in a matrixed environment is preferred.

- The ideal candidate must be able to lead as the HR Manager within the countries supported.

- Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time with flexibility throughout the region supported, and occasional travel to regional or global meetings where appropriate, including international travel.
