What's exciting about the role
Verifone are seeking an IT Desktop System Specialist. In this role, no two days are the same - from troubleshooting and deploying new technologies to visiting offices across the EMEA region if needed, you’ll be at the heart of our IT operations. This is a chance to broaden your technical expertise while working in a truly global environment.
This is an in-office position, working from our Warsaw office.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver on-site and remote desktop support for offices across the EMEA region.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer hardware, operating systems, network settings, software, and IP telephony systems
- Coordinate with the helpdesk team to escalate and resolve complex issues.
- Diagnose and resolve end-user application problems promptly.
- Prepare and maintain procedural documentation to support IT processes.
- Assist with the deployment and roll-out of new applications.
- Manage administrative tasks, including IT asset management and procurement.
- Travel to other EMEA offices as required.
- Contribute to IT and facilities-related projects.
Skills and Experience we desire
- Proven hands-on experience in system support engineering.
- Proficient in Polish & English language, spoken and written.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking principles.
- Proficient in installing and configuring computer hardware, operating systems, and applications.
- Experienced in troubleshooting system and network issues, diagnosing, and resolving hardware/software faults.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
- Ability to identify, handle, and isolate IT security issues effectively.
- Skilled in liaising with vendors and external partners on IT-related matters.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and manage workload effectively.
- Capable of working both independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Excellent customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities.
