What's exciting about the role
This is a unique opportunity to work on mission-critical systems at the heart of Verifone’s payment infrastructure. As a key developer of Payware CMS, you'll contribute to high-impact projects that support millions of transactions globally. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, tackle complex technical challenges, and help shape the future of electronic payments.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a key developer for the batch module of Payware CMS.
- Develop and implement new software requirements based on business and technical specifications.
- Provide ongoing support for production issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact.
- Collaborate with QA, product, and support teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation efforts.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in software quality and performance.
Skills and Experience we desire
- Proficiency in COBOL
- Experience with UNIX/Linux
- SQL expertise
- Familiarity with Oracle and PostgreSQL
- Knowledge of version control systems such as Git for source code management
- Experience with parallel processing
- Experience in electronic payments
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (preferred)
- Minimum of 3–4 years of experience in a similar software development role
- Intermediate English proficiency (technical reading and documentation)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
