What's Exciting About The Role
We’re looking for a proactive and customer focused Account Manager - Retention & Growth to join our team in Herlev. This role is ideal for someone who excels at nurturing existing customer relationships, reducing churn, and identifying opportunities to expand account value.
You’ll be responsible for managing the day-to-day contact with a large number of SMB customers, ensuring they remain engaged, satisfied, and supported while also spotting opportunities to upsell, cross sell, and drive incremental revenue. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a blend of relationship management and commercial sales activity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily phone and email contact to a large number of new and existing SMB customers to maximise retention and minimise churn
- Proactively engage customers to understand their needs, challenges, and future plans
- Identify upsell and cross sell opportunities that align with customer goals and Verifone’s product suite
- The role includes several administrative back-office tasks
- Conduct regular account reviews to ensure customers are realizing full value from our solutions
- Develop tailored proposals and negotiate commercial terms with key decisionmakers
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and sales teams to enhance customer engagement strategies
- Act as the customer advocate internally, ensuring a seamless and positive experience across all touchpoints
Skills and Experience We Desire
- Proven experience in account management, customer retention, or a hybrid sales/relationship role
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to identify and close upsell opportunities
- Exceptional communication and relationship building skills
- Highly self-motivated, organized, and disciplined in managing a customer portfolio
- Comfortable working independently in a dynamic, fast paced environment
- Fluency in Danish and strong proficiency in English
- A customer centric approach with a passion for delivering value and solving problems
