What's Exciting About the Role
The Senior Director, North America Solutioning is a client-facing leadership role at the forefront of how Verifone wins and grows business across North America. You will serve as the technical and commercial bridge between client needs and Verifone's full payments solution stack — spanning hardware, payment applications, gateways, processing, and acquiring services. This role requires deep fintech expertise, a builder's mindset, and significant travel across North America.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical pre-sales engagements across NA, designing tailored solutions that address complex enterprise client needs — both for what Verifone delivers today and where we can go in the future.
- Serve as the primary technical voice in client meetings, RFP responses, and solution presentations, translating complex payments concepts into compelling value propositions.
- Act as the connective tissue between sales, product, engineering, and customer success — building cohesiveness across teams for smoother, more consistent client outcomes.
- Apply expertise across the full payments stack to design integrated, end-to-end solutions and feed client insights back to Product and Engineering teams.
- Partner with regional Sales leaders on pipeline development, deal qualification, and strategic account planning.
- Continuously improve solutioning processes, tools, and proposal frameworks to accelerate the sales cycle and raise the quality of client engagements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 12–15 years of experience in solutions engineering, technical pre-sales, or solutioning within the payments or fintech industry.
- Deep knowledge of the payments ecosystem — including payment devices, applications, gateways, acquiring processing, and e-payments platforms.
- Proven track record leading complex enterprise pre-sales engagements and contributing to large RFP submissions.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage at both C-suite and technical levels.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively across North America.
Preferred Experience
- Experience across the full NA payments landscape including acquiring, ISO, and enterprise merchant environments.
- Background in solution architecture or technical consulting within payments or commerce technology.
- Experience building or scaling a solutioning function in a high-growth technology environment.
