The Senior Staff Technical Program Manager is an executive-facing role driving the delivery of Verifone's most complex, cross-functional engineering programs. You will own 2–3 large-scale programs simultaneously, bring rigor to roadmap and milestone planning, and ensure progress is communicated transparently to senior leadership — all while staying ahead of emerging technologies shaping the future of payments.

What's Exciting About The Role
The Senior Staff Technical Program Manager is an executive-facing role driving the delivery of Verifone's most complex, cross-functional engineering programs. You will own 2–3 large-scale programs simultaneously, bring rigor to roadmap and milestone planning, and ensure progress is communicated transparently to senior leadership — all while staying ahead of emerging technologies shaping the future of payments.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the development and implementation of innovative banking products that meet the evolving needs of customers.
- Responsible for driving the execution of 2-3 large-scale, complex, cross-functional programs with clear executive exposure and the need to deliver transparently and predictably.
- Drive product development processes, including roadmaps, sprint planning, and backlog prioritization.
- Identify and proactively manage program risks and collaborate with other team leaders to mitigate risks across the program portfolio.
- Participate in R&D activities and experimenting with bleeding edge private and public preview technologies and early adoption of those in our products.
- Collaborate with design and development teams to conceptualize, prototype, and launch new products.
- Drive and facilitate high level collaboration and coordination efforts with various business functions to support roadmap planning processes, milestone planning, and the creation of comprehensive delivery timelines considering available resources, dependencies, priorities and constraints.
- Track progress and key dates, holding folks accountable along the way, to prepare and deliver reports on program progress and risk.
- 5-10% travel req’d to various engineering offices in the U.S., London, Montevideo, and others for business meetings, trainings, financial analysis, and leadership meetings.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field (or foreign equivalent).
- 5 years of experience in job offered, Staff Technical Program Manager or a related role, with five (5) years of experience in:
- Financial Management, including software capitalization automation
- Technical Program Management,
- Data Analysis in support of engineering and program decisions
- Engineering productivity metrics and contract management tooling
- Tooling (OpsGenie, Slack, and JIRA); evaluative metrics including Uptime, MTTR, and MTTD
- Scrum and Kanban methodology
