What's exciting about the role

The Director of Employee Relations & Compliance is a global HR role responsible for the central facilitation of employee relations efforts, HR compliance, HR Program and Project Management as well as ongoing identification of continuous improvement opportunities. Reporting directly to the CHRO, this position will partner with Global HR Leadership, regional HR Managers, Global HR Centers of Excellence, and other partner organizations.

Based in our New York City, Alpharetta, GA, or London office, this position is a hands-on and highly collaborative role for an experienced HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth business environment undergoing exciting transformation.

Skills and Experience we desire

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on global employee relations and compliance, providing guidance to HR Business Partners, People Managers, and senior leaders across all regions.
  • Oversee the investigation and resolution of high-level workplace grievances, concerns, and potential policy violations.
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve global ER policies, frameworks, and standard operating procedures that reflect best practices, local legal requirements, and opportunities for process automation.
  • Partner with regional HR leaders and Legal to ensure ER practices are compliant with employment law across all jurisdictions, including the US, EMEA, APAC, and Latin America.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements. Own timelines for ongoing deliverables.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to employee relations.
  • Leverage data analysis to identify employee trends, proactively surface organizational risks, and deliver clear, actionable reporting to the CHRO and senior leadership.
  • Deliver training programs for managers and HR teams on workplace conduct, conflict resolution, performance management, and other employee related topics as needed.
  • Support the implementation of various people programs to ensure a positive work environment.
  • Support organizational change events — ensuring appropriate processes, documentation, and follow-up across all stakeholders.
  • Champion a culture of respect, psychological safety, and high performance by embedding employee relations best practices into the broader employee experience.
  • Drive program and project management across various employee initiatives, ensuring initiatives are delivered on time, with clear accountability and measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Employment Law, Organizational Psychology, or related field; advanced degree or JD a plus.
  • 10 –12 years of progressive HR experience, with a significant focus on employee relations at a global or multi-regional scale.
  • Proven expertise in leading complex workplace investigations end-to-end, with sound judgment and meticulous documentation practices.
  • Deep understanding of employee relations principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of US employment law (federal and state) is essential; working knowledge of employment regulations in EMEA, APAC, or Latin America is highly valued.
  • Demonstrated experience in global project and program management — across multiple stakeholders ensuring structure, accountability, and measurable impact.
  • Strong data analysis skills with the ability to translate metrics and trends into meaningful insights and recommendations.
  • Experience driving process improvement, including the use of automation to increase efficiency and consistency.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage a high volume of concurrent matters and competing priorities.
  • Collaborative by nature, with a track record of building effective partnerships across HR, Legal, and business leadership.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with employees and management.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism.

Preferred Experience

  • Background in the payments, fintech, financial services, or enterprise technology industry.
  • Experience across international markets.
  • Familiarity with case management systems, reporting tools, and automation platforms.

The salary range for this role is $150,000 - $225,000 USD. This role is equity eligible. In addition, you may receive a discretionary annual bonus based on individual and company performance. Actual compensation packages within that range are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of relevant experience, certifications, internal equity, and specific location. This salary range, may change in the future, and is just one part of the total rewards package which also includes health benefits and retirement plans.
